Craig D. Miller

PERSONAL INJURY LAWYER
Craig David Miller was born in 1958 in Manhattan, and was raised in White Plains and in Ossining, New York. Craig graduated from Ossining High School in 1976, and from Tufts University in 1980 where he served on the Student Senate. At Tufts, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree and majored in Political Science, Russian Literature and Psychology. Craig spent the summer of 1978 in Spain, traveling and studying with the Institute of European Studies. Craig then attended The Emory University School of Law and earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1983. In 1982, Craig’s class was the first to participate in a program put on by the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA). That year, Craig and his partner were co-winners of the first Emory Law School Mock Trial competition and represented Emory Law School in a statewide tournament. Craig went on to serve as a Mock Trial Coach during his 3rd year at Emory Law School. Craig’s interest in Mock Trial competitions continued after he became a member of the Georgia Bar; he has served as a Judge at the University of Georgia Law School’s Mock Trial Competition and as an Assistant Coach for a local high school’s mock trial team that won their statewide competition.

Craig’s first employment as an attorney was with a sole practitioner in Atlanta who represented injured clients. Craig was involved with arbitrations and mediations and he conducted jury trials in the metro Atlanta area. After three years, Craig went out on his own to develop his personal injury practice. In 1993, Craig joined a general litigation and business practice firm that wanted to add a personal injury specialist.

Craig enjoys spending time with his amazing wife, Stephanie, and their two equally amazing adult children, Rachel and Scott. Craig has shared his passion for sports with both children and served as Rachel’s soccer coach and Scott’s assistant baseball coach in their younger years. Craig is an accomplished amateur photographer and served as a Sports Editor for The Vinings Gazette where he shot photos of, and wrote stories about the Atlanta Braves, Falcons and Thrashers. Craig continues to enjoy trying to capture special moments reflecting his appreciation for nature, landscapes, animals and sports. Craig also enjoys cooking, traveling and trying to improve his conversational Spanish.

Katie M. Boatwright

PERSONAL INJURY LAWYER

Katie Boatwright graduated from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School in 2018. Katie grew up in Newnan, Georgia and moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2015 to attend law school. As a high school student, she became certified as a nursing assistant and a patient care technician before graduating in 2010. She then went on to attend The University of West Georgia where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in secondary education. During her senior year of college, Katie was awarded the title of Most Outstanding English Major. Katie credits many of the skills she utilizes as an attorney to the experience she gained through teaching and working in the service industry. Her passion for education and writing paved the way to her career as an advocate.

During her first year of law school, Katie worked in the law library and served as Secretary for her law school fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta. Katie met attorney Craig Miller while she was working as a waitress during her second summer semester of law school. She had recently completed an internship with the Fayette County Solicitor’s Office, and she was in pursuit of her next internship opportunity.

Craig invited Katie to intern at his firm, and Katie quickly became part of the Miller Personal Injury family. After she completed her internship, Craig hired her as his administrative assistant, and then as his associate attorney in 2019 when she was sworn in as a member of the Georgia Bar. Craig has been not only an employer, but also and most significantly, a mentor to Katie throughout her legal career. In addition to teaching her the law, Craig has taught Katie the importance of advocating for their clients in a diligent, ethical, and compassionate way.

Katie enjoys traveling, backpacking, and exploring the outdoors. Her goal is to visit every national park in the United States. She also enjoys live music and live comedy, practicing yoga, and spending time with her family.
